Cave Canem at the Brooklyn Museum

Enjoy a night of poetry with Trace DePass and Cave Canem fellows JP Howard and Raven Jackson, as they share work that engages the theme “Visualizing Independence,” which explores concepts of home, family and belonging through photography. This presentation is part of the Brooklyn Museum’s First Saturdays event series and celebrates the exhibition, Liz Johnson Artur: Dusha, which showcases the Ghanaian-Russian photographer’s plethora of work documenting the African Diaspora.
