Katie Ann Turner is a poet and singer-songwriter from Austin Texas currently living in Bushwick, Brooklyn. They are a recent graduate from Saint Francis College’s MFA program, and they have been performing around the city at venues such as the Delancey, Rockwood Music Hall, and Bowery Electric. A storyteller at heart, Turner hopes to continue melding their poetry and music into one lived experience, exploring themes of queer identity and queer love while reconciling with their religious upbringing. As a former pastor’s kid, Turner still looks for God every day, and they keep finding Her in music, poetry, and in their community.
