The Bindery will host the launch event for Heather June Gibbons' poetry book Her Mouth as Souvenir, winner of the 2017 Agha Shahid Ali Poetry Prize, now available from the University of Utah Press. Of Her Mouth as Souvenir, author Erin Belieu writes: "Her language is wicked, syncopated and full of canny stings, with a quality of idiosyncratic consciousness that’s utterly contemporary...Gibbons is a force."
The event will include a short reading, Q&A, and book-signing with the author, as well as visual art by Angela Willetts, refreshments, and a souvenir-postcard-making activity.
