The 24th annual Watershed Environmental Poetry Festival will feature over thirty poets and writers, including Patricia Smith, winner of the Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award and the NAACP Image Award; Dorianne Laux, winner of the Oregon Book Award and Paterson Prize; Joseph Millar, recipient of winner of fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, and San Francisco Poet Laureate Kim Shuck.
Watershed Environmental Poetry Festival is co-founded by former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Hass and is a collaboration of The Watershed Coordinating Committee, Poetry Flash, and the Ecology Center/Berkeley Farmers' Market, in conjunction with Pegasus Books Downtown, Moe's Books, and 100 Thousand Poets for Change.
