The 12th Annual Blackout Poetry contest takes place over the month of April, from April 1-30. Patrons can take loose book pages from our display to create their poems and submit finished poems to the circulation desk. Submissions will be accepted until end of day on April 30th. Voting, from staff and the community, will take place the first week of May. Any ties may be broken by staff. The winner will be called by end of day on Monday, May 4th and the winning poem displayed until the next year. In addition, the winner can claim a $50 gift card as their prize from the front circulation desk.
