The 100 Boots Poetry Series presents readings by a range of emerging and established writers from St. Louis and across the United States. 100 Boots is organized by Ted Mathys, poet and educator at Saint Louis University. Mathys will host a virtual discussion and reading with poets Nathaniel Mackey and Natalie Shapero. A selection of their books are available for purchase courtesy of Left Bank Books at left-bank.com.

Nathaniel Mackey was born in Miami and raised in Southern California. He earned his BA from Princeton University and his PhD from Stanford University. Mackey is currently the Reynolds Price Professor of Creative Writing at Duke University.
Natalie Shapero was born in Chester, Pennsylvania and earned a BA in Writing Seminars from Johns Hopkins University, an MFA in Poetry from Ohio State University, and a JD from the University of Chicago. Shapero teaches at Tufts University.
