We were saddened to confirm that former Academy Chancellor Carolyn Kizer passed away on October 9, 2014. Kizer was the author of eight books of poetry, including Cool Calm & Collected (Copper Canyon Press, 2000) and Yin (1984), which won the Pulitzer Prize. She served as an Academy Chancellor from 1995 to 1998.
