Reception for the Solo Exhibition of Stefano Losi at the United Nations in New York - Friday, April 17, 6pm

The UNSRC Literary Cultural Circle of the United Nations, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of New York, are pleased to announce “Respiro”, Stefano Losi’s third Solo Exhibition at the United Nations in New York (Curved Wall, Conference Building—First Avenue and 46th Street).

“Violent Dances Fade,” the art project of the author, combines sculptures in bronze and cast glass, and visual works in oils and oxidized metal minerals, with an epigrammatic Latin poetry. Antonio Maria Costa, UN Under-Secretary-General, wrote: “This is a splendid union. In the words of these poems I find the same hope I cherish when I observe the World.”

The works reflect the studies of classical art and literature, still emerging as a reference in the author’s compositions, yet with a clear contemporary perspective.  Journalist and writer Marco Mathieu captured its essence as “Timeless. On the contrary, inside time. And beyond… Significant. Blunt. Stirring, most of all… Strokes and shadows. Black. Intensity, liberty. And love.”

A Cocktail Reception with poetry reading will be held on Friday, April 17, 6pm at the United Nations in New York (Curved Wall, Conference Building—First Avenue and 46th Street).

Due to UN security rules, to attend the event, it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to R.S.V.P. by Tuesday, 14 April at [email protected] with full names of the guests.
