LOS ANGELES RIVER POETRY READING (POETRY SOCIETY OF AMERICA)

LOS ANGELES RIVER POETRY READING
with Luis Rodriquez, Eloise Klein Healy, William Archila, and Lewis MacAdams

In addition to a reading by renowned Los Angeles poets, the event features a variety of activities for adults and children (ages six and up) including a walking tour of the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve led by Lewis MacAdams, poet and co-founder/president of Friends of the Los Angeles River (FoLAR), and urban ecologist/educator/designer Kat Superfisky; art, poetry writing activities, and refreshments for children (ages six and up), sponsored by Red Hen Press; and a pop-up picnic: Bring your own picnic basket and enjoy a lovely luncheon in the idyllic setting of the Sepulveda Basin Park.

The LA River Poetry Reading has been made possible by Play the LA River (PLAR), and through the support of Red Hen Press and The Poetry Society of America.

All events begin at The Amphitheatre located within the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve.

The event is free and open to the public.
