ARTS San Antonio will again collaborate with our friends at Gemini Ink in doing its (ARTS SA’s) small part to participate in National Poetry Month.
Alexandra van de Kanp will read a short work of hers before the Assads performance on April 14.
Alexandra van de Kamp is a native of New York and moved to San Antonio over a year ago and loves it. She is the Creative Writing Classes Program Director at Gemini Ink, a literary arts nonprofit organization based in San Antonio. Her first full-length collection of poems, The Park of Upside Down Chairs, was published by CW Books in 2010, and her second book of poems, entitled Kiss/Hierarchy, will be coming out this May from Rain Mountain Press. She is also the author of 5 poetry chapbooks and teaches online poetry workshops through the organization,The Poetry Barn.
