John Blondel
John Blondel received his AB with honors in American history from Harvard College and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
Elected to the Academy’s Board in 2007, Blondel chaired the Committee on the Board, in addition to serving as a member of the Chancellors Committee, Executive Committee, and Finance Committee. He is also a member of its Emeritus Circle. He is a managing director at Goldman Sachs. Joining the firm in 1983, Blondel has been in the Investment Management Division since 1996, where his responsibilities include serving as an advisor to families, foundations, and trusts.
Blondel also serves on the board and executive committee of the Friends of the High Line in New York City. He has been involved with the Friends for the High Line since near its founding and helped to bring the High Line project to a reality. He has been a member of and chaired the Board of Overseers Committee to Visit the Memorial Church and was chair of the National Committee for Memorial Church for the Church’s Capital campaign. Additionally, he has served in several roles at Harvard and is currently cochair of his class for the Harvard College Fund.
