A large, child's rubber ball rolls through them.
Fire appears to flash from it.
What's he saying? She hesitates before she answers. He says it happened right down there.
When the movement of the eye is slow, it is possible that that which sees and that which is seen should appear to be simultaneously two and one. This naturally takes place in darkness, or when the eyelids are closed, for then, too, darkness is produced.
