Still Light
by Keyirra (Keke) Morrow
Even on quiet days,
the sun remembers to show up.
Not loud, not demanding-
Just steady,
like it knows someone is watching.
Some mornings, peace comes slow.
It stretches, it yawns,
It takes time to find you.
But it always does.
There’s beauty in the small things-
the breath before laughter,
the sound of your own footsteps,
when you’re walking back to yourself.
Positivity isn’t pretending.
It’s choosing-
again and again-
to believe that what’s broken,
can still grow soft around the edges.
Even darkness,
when held long enough,
learns to glow.
