A is for Anoush

A is for Anoush Anoush Apetyan. Almond eyes, adorned with annihilation. A- like the ageless acquaintanceship of the “A” in Armenia to the “A” in Azerbaijan. Ancient family feuds that bring armies of Arams, Alis, Arevs, and Aras to ambush and agony, abdicated to apathy. Eighteen-year-olds awaiting the end-all, arbitrary angels absolutely abandoned. Airless allyship. Another atrocious advancement abroad. A road from Artsakh to Aghdam obliterated- abysmal. Aid apprehended at checkpoints, emptiness in Ani’s Easter basket. Atmosphere infected by Israeli phosphorus, animating the asphalt of Ararat Elementary. Thank you, America.
