andandand     remind us of long ago

by Mira Rosenkotz

andandandand remind us of long ago. I’d love you, in a free august one tie d up by the slow moving 7 train was not for me , didn’t make it to New York today— only into the city. You found me soak ed in the city showers, same ones we’ve all used. You came to me drip ing words begged me to knead ing, them into stanzas, begged shook me to tell you what you were be, what you would eventually become lips sagged towards the pavement tired of the babble, of by reassuring, of in sharing, of on of, by, of in of. I’d love you, drunked in free august sucked dry by the 7 didn’t make it to New York today— safety in city. You found me soak ed in city showers, same ones we’ve all used. You came to me drip begged me to kneading, shook what you be, what eventually lips sagged towards pavement tired of babble, of by reassuring, of in sharing, of on. You’d be me in another man’s New York, city on city stack slipswallowed you something new, something good watches you weave city into an (ger) (xious) city. we have ever seen. you now, created to be and listen to you ? not at all. We came to you in the day, holding it out in front, cold stranger s to save you out , stranger s to save from the heat. Slow motion summer from heat. Slow motion summer. You’d be me in another man’s New York, city on city stack ed against us. We’ve named you something new, something good watches d you weave this city into every all other city. we have ever seen. We will call you now, what we created you to be, and listen to you not at all. that we chose as we towards you , dance against the stones back and forth step. We sway to the rhythm of these keys, remind us of long ago. you dance stones back/forth step. We sway to the rhythm of remind and long and ago andandandand
