Víctor Rodríguez Núñez

Víctor Rodríguez Núñez was born in Havana, Cuba, in 1955. He is a poet, journalist, essayist, translator, and university professor. More than one hundred editions of his poetry have been published around the world, including Rebel Matter: Poems, 2000–2021 (Shearsman Books, 2022) and From a Red Barn (Co-im-Press, 2020), both translated by Katherine M. Heeden. His selected poems have been translated into seventeen languages and he has read his poetry in more than fifty countries. 

Rodríguez Núñez has been the recipient of major awards, including the Loewe Foundation Poetry Prize. 

Rodríguez Núñez divides his time between Gambier, Ohio, where he is a professor emeritus of Spanish at Kenyon College, and Havana.
