The Primer

She said, I love you.

He said, Nothing.

(As if there were just one
of each word and the one
who used it, used it up).

The love of each of us
for some of us,

                        of some of us

for all of us—

and what would come if it were
                        welcome, if learning were
to prepare “a self with which to

welcome”

admissible,        stranger
