Dear Alberto Ríos from Cynthia

Dear Alberto,

My name is Cynthia. I am in 8th grade. I loved your poem "Don't Go Into the Library." I really liked how "the doughnut scent of it all, knowledge, the aroma of coffee being made." The poem made me feel like I actually belong at a library, it made me feel connected to books in some way. I have some questions for you... What inspired you to write this poem/ Were you hungry when you wrote this poem? Because you mentioned some foods in there. To you what is the point of writing, why do you like writing? I write a lot but sometimes I find it pointless, do you ever feel like that? Do you have any advice for me? Well, it was great writing to you, you are such a great writer.

Your amiga,

Cynthia
