Malia Maxwell

Malia Maxwell is a Kanaka Maoli writer. She earned her MFA in poetry from the Helen Zell Writers’ Program at the University of Michigan.

The recipient of scholarships and fellowships from Bread Loaf Environmental Writers’ Conference and Vermont Studio Center, Maxwell’s poems appear or are forthcoming in The Kenyon Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, Yellow Medicine Review, and elsewhere. She lives in Baltimore, on Piscataway and Susquehannock lands.
