Why Advertise in American Poets?

Reach

The Academy of American Poets has the largest membership of any poetry organization in the United States, and all members receive a subscription to American Poets. Total distribution is approximately 6,500 copies.

Highly Targeted Audience

American Poets reaches devoted readers and writers of poetry and literature, students and educators, many of the nation’s most respected poets, and dedicated supporters of the literary arts.

Prestige & Longevity

Unlike digital advertising with a short lifespan, American Poets is a collectible print publication with long shelf life and enduring visibility within homes, classrooms, libraries, and literary organizations.

Positive Perception

We view our ads as a service to the poetry community and therefore only accept advertising that we believe will be valuable and relevant to our readers.

Supports the Academy

Advertising with the Academy of American Poets helps support our free publications and programs, including Poets.org, National Poetry Month, Poem-a-Day, and educational initiatives nationwide.
