GENERAL ADMISSION DOORS 8PM
Electric Literature and hosts Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah, Vanessa Chan, Emma Copley Eisenberg, Deesha Philyaw, and Clare Sestanovich invite you to the Masquerade on October 18, 2024 in Brooklyn, NY.
This year we’re celebrating Electric Literature’s 15th birthday, which makes EL about as old as Poe would have been in literary magazine years. Join our esteemed hosts, as well as EL editors and authors, for an evening of drinks and dancing in support of Electric Literature.
Tickets are on sale for the VIP cocktail hour, which includes mingling with the hosts, specialty cocktails, and appetizers courtesy of Parklife.
General admission tickets include complimentary drinks from 8 – 10pm.
The dress code is black and/or neon. Think bright colors, black light, and day glow. Feeling introverted? Show up in black jeans and a black t-shirt and you’ll fit right in. Feeling extroverted and wondering how hard you can go? There is no limit. Need proof? Check out last year’s photos by Jasmina Tomic, and revel in the photo booth antics. Masks and neon accessories will be provided, or you can bring your own. The color scheme is electric—and so are we.
All proceeds support Electric Literature, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that publishes over 500 writers per year.
