The TN - POETS DAY is an Annual event, FREE and OPEN to public and organized by Poets From the Neighborhood (PFTN) as one of PFTN's Community Outreach Volunteers efforts. Celebrated as part of National Poetry Month, the 3rd Annual Tennessee POETS DAY-2019 on APRIL 27th include Keynote Poetry by TN Poet Laureate Maggi B Vaughn and Craft Talk on Business of Poetry and Publishing by published TN-Poets, David M Harris and Dr. Rajaratnam Veera S. Readings and Booksigning including the New Releases by Renowned Local TN poets, Bill Brown, VeerajaR, Louise Colln & Susie M. Ross are bound to inspire the young and old in the community. There are TWO Open Mic Poetry Sessions (10:30 AM & 2:00 PM) -- providing excellent opportunity for *children, the aspiring local poets and hidden talents. While there is No Age limit to participate, the poetry read has to be your original work in English, family friendly and of CLEAN language (no profanity /please, see contact for further Guidelines). There are door prizes and prizes for best Poem & Reading, too. The Honorable Mayor Rogers Anderson will the Guest Speaker at the Opening Ceremony at 10:00 AM on April 27th. The whole day of Events and Readings will be recorded by WC-TV, TN (Co-Sponsor) to be Aired at a later time.
