Jon Pineda
Jon Pineda is the author of six books: three poetry collections, two novels, and one memoir. His poetry collections are Little Anodynes: Poems (University of South Carolina Press, 2015); The Translators’ Diary (New Issues/Western Michigan University Press), winner of the 2007 Green Rose Prize; and Birthmark (Southern University of Illinois Press, 2004).
Pineda has also twice been awarded the Library of Virginia Literary Award—one for fiction and one for poetry. He is a core faculty member in the MFA program at Queens University of Charlotte in North Carolina, where he has taught in their Latin America MFA program in both Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires. He also directs the creative writing program at William & Mary and has served on the teaching faculty at Kundiman. Pineda lives in Virginia.
