The Southern Nevada Writing Project's Invitational Institute provides the opportunity for excellent teachers from all levels and areas of the curriculum to come together as a writing community. Within this community teachers share and extend their best classroom practices and talk about aspects of teaching that they find challenging; write and respond to each other's writing; and have opportunities to read, discuss, and inquire into the latest classroom-based professional books and research on writing. The SNWP is an affiliate of the National Writing Project which sponsors over 100 sites across the U.S.
