The Bread Loaf Writers' Conference is one of America's oldest literary institutions. For more than 75 years, workshops, lectures, and classes have been held in the summer, providing a stimulating community in which participants can test assumptions regarding literature and seek advice about their progress as writers. Over the course of ten days in August, faculty members conduct small workshops, give lectures on writerly issues, and offer classes on specific aspects of craft. Readings by faculty, guests, and contributors are scheduled throughout the day and into the night.

The Bread Loaf Writers' Conference is scheduled for August 15-25, 2018.
