In 1961, Vermont established a state poet laureate position, which is currently held by Bianca Stone, who was appointed to a four-year term in 2024. Stone is the author of The Mobius Strip Club of Grief (Tin House Books, 2018) and Someone Else’s Wedding Vows (Tin House/Octopus Books, 2014).
