from “Origin”

you are
formed for the
contingent spaces
for stamens withered
and the particulars visited
you are
migrating to the distant
considering the many
and imagined
but some which veil green
by so long an immersion
you
are measured
and cut
and cut again

About this Poem

“This is from a larger project forthcoming from ixnay press in 2015. The whole book is a conversation between the ecological atrophy of the planet, Darwin's Origin of the Species and the navigation through the world as a particular kind of sexualized prey.”
