This Masters of Fine Arts program, a small, two-year course of graduate study, is the highest nationally ranked graduate program at the university, which is located in Charlottesville. The university also offers a Young Writers Workshop for high school students, hosts a reading series and publishes a number of literary journals, including Inkstone, Local Tea, Meridian, Rag & Bone, 3.7, Virginia Literary Review, and the Virginia Quarterly Review.
