Trish Salah

Trish Salah was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Salah received a BA and an MA in English and creative writing from Concordia University, as well as a PhD in English literature from York University. Salah is the author of Lyric Sexology Vol. 1 (Roof Books, 2014) and Wanting in Arabic (TSAR Publications, 2002), which was released in a second edition in 2013 and awarded the 2014 Lambda Literary Award for Best Transgender Fiction. A recipient of an Affinity Credit Union LGBTT Community Service Award, a Canada Council Writing and Publishing Grant, and a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada Insight Grant, Salah currently serves as an assistant professor of Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of Winnipeg.
