Malcolm Tariq is from Savannah, Georgia. He is a graduate of Emory University, and holds a PhD in English from the University of Michigan. Tariq is the author of Heed the Hollow  winner of the Cave Canem Poetry Prize selected by Chris Abani. He lives in New York.
