Julie Suk

Julie Suk was born in Mobile, Alabama, and attended Stephens College and the University of Alabama.

Suk is the author of The Dark Takes Aim (Autumn House Press, 2003); The Angel of Obsession (University of Arkansas Press, 1992), winner of the Arkansas Poetry Award and the Roanoke-Chowan Poetry Award; Heartwood (Briarpatch Press, 1991); and The Medicine Woman (St. Andrews Press, 1980). She also coedited Bear Crossings: An Anthology of North American Poets (The New South Company, 1978) with Anne Newman.

Julie Suk’s honors include the Bess Hokin Award. She lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.
