Sharon Dolin

Sharon Dolin is the author of several poetry collections, including Manual for Living (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2016); Whirlwind (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2012); Burn and Dodge (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2008), which was selected by Bob Hicok for the 2007 Donald Hall Prize for Poetry; and Heart Work (Sheep Meadow Press, 1995).

Of Dolin’s work, Jane Hirshfield writes,

Far-traveling in both interior and outer realms, Sharon Dolin’s poetry ranges from the exploration of love, loss, and mourning to the unexpected kinships of New York daily life, to the spiritual celebration of new motherhood.

Dolin is the recipient of a Witter Bynner Fellowship from the Library of Congress and a grant from the PEN/Heim Translation Fund. She currently teaches workshops at Poets House and in the Writing About Art in Barcelona workshops. She lives in New York City.
