Elisa Gonzalez

Elisa Gonzalez received a BA from Yale University and an MFA from New York University. A poet, essayist, and fiction writer, she has published poetry in The New Yorker and The Paris Review, guest-edited the poetry month spread for the Washington Post, and written essays for the the New York Times and The Point. In 2023, Gonzalez released her debut collection Grand Tour (Farrar, Straus and Giroux).

Gonzalez has received fellowships from the Kingsley Trust Association, the Norman Mailer Foundation, the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, the Rolex Foundation, and the Fulbright Program. She is a recipient of a 2020 Rona Jaffe Foundation Writer’s Award and a 2024 Whiting Award for Poetry.
