By joining another site--one that still participates in the InterBoard Poetry Competition ("IBPC")--in addition to Poets.org. There is a list of such workshops on the IBPC site, although it should be updated to exclude sites that have withdrawn, like this one. Of those mentioned, your best chance of being nominated probably comes at these venues:
• criticalpoet.org
• SplashHall Poetry & Art
To increase your odds further, I suggest posting your poems here first, getting them "shipshape", and then posting them on an IBPC participant venue.
